ECQG Christmas Dinner, Demo and Show and Tell

On Wednesday at our regular meeting of the ECQG, the Gibson Church committee served us a DELICIOUS traditional Christmas dinner with Turkey and all the fixings!!!!  It was scrumptious, and although I sat at the LAST table to be invited to the buffet, there was lots of everything and it was hot and yummy.  A HUGE thank you to the "workers" for providing us with such a great start to our Christmas season.  (Our regular photographer was not able to attend, and I had my iPhone so, although I didn't do very well with photo taking,  here is an idea of the evening).

In this photo Sandra Tucker is on the eve of a BIG birthday celebration and RETIREMENT, by having her sister Jean visiting from Newfoundland!!

Before eating we had a little show of some of the quilts made for the IWK from our members...

There was a wonderful display of centerpiece making done and enjoyed by many.  On each table were lovely live centerpieces and runners made by Doris Kilburn that were later given away to lucky members!!  Here is an example of one, unfortunately I did not get a good picture of one of the runners, but they were of a lovely Christmas print and reversible to green.
