ECQG Quilting Retreat Feb 12-16, 2014

   What a success!!

Despite some sickness and snow storms, and  LOADS of snow,  the retreat at Villa Madonna Retreat House in Rothesay NB was a HUGE HIT!  We had invited and not-invited visitors to make our days "exciting!  There were shopping trips, and other outside trips, demonstrations and lots of sharing and giving of information tips, techniques, jokes, coffee, treats, threads, fabric, we sewed, laughed, sewed and sewed etc.etc!!

Of course, we missed those who weren't there, but we had a very good time, worth remembering in print and picture!

Thank you to the VILLA MADONNA RETREAT House in Saint John, NB, and especially to Diane O'Dell for the above and beyond treatment of "we quilters" during the Sunday storm.  Diane walked to us and arrived in the kitchen at 7am soaking from the feet to the knees from trudging through the deep snow...  thinking of our safety.  During the whole retreat time, I think that we all felt very welcome and very AT HOME (without the responsibilities!!).

Lets get to Day ONE,TWO,THREE and FOUR and  1/2 *chuckle* of photos, including Wednesday evening for some of us, Thursday morning for others and Friday including our BAG show...bags, purses, sacks etc right on until Sunday, or Monday morning for some of us!

The end of Sunday morning brought us sewing again while people other guild members packed to leave.  The problem, snowy roads from our night's storm.  To go...or not to go? How much can YOU dig?
After the plow...Laurie's, Elaine's and Kathy's cars still had a long way to go!!!

Happy Evelyn (unfortunately it was an empty bottle!) decided to stay Sunday night.

One last consultation.

Tired Terry Teskey?

Monday morning

The last "displayed" project was ... Laurie's quilt for placement - on the carpet!!!
It was a great retreat everyone!!
Cannot wait for our next one 2015.

Thanks so much for everyone's input and help, but especially to

Joan Baldwin and

Elaine Mayo.

Amazing AGAIN!

Thanks for listening and perusing our Retreat in photos,
Kathy
